今回はキリビリ埠頭(Kirribilli Wharf)にある人気カフェ 、Celsius Coffee & Dining に行ってきました。

This time, I went to the popular café at Kirribilli Wharf, Celsius Coffee & Dining.
このカフェはどこにある? Where is this Café?

キリビリ埠頭にこのカフェはあります。
キリビリ埠頭は普段からフェリーを利用する人達に利用されており、その埠頭にある席数がそれほど多くないこじんまりしたカフェが今回訪れたカフェです。小さい埠頭なので行けばすぐに見つけることが出来ます。
This café is located at Kirribilli Wharf.
Kirribilli Wharf is commonly used by people who regularly take the ferry, and the café I visited is a small one on the wharf with not many seats. Since it is a small wharf, you can find it easily once you go there.

ちなみにフェリーやバスなどの公共交通機関を利用するのであればオパールカードが必要です。

キリビリとはどんな場所？ What kind of place is Kirribilli?
キリビリ（Kirribilli）は、シドニー湾内沿いにある落ち着いた高級住宅エリアで、オペラハウスがあるサーキュラーキーやシドニーハーバーブリッジがあるロックスの対岸に位置する為景色の良さでも有名です。
月に数回開催されているキリビリマーケット(Kirribilli Market)もあり、観光地っぽすぎず、「地元の人が暮らしている上品なサバーブ」といった感じの場所です。
観光・景色・暮らしのバランスがとれているとても良い場所です。
「都会のすぐ近くにある、静かで景色が最高なサバーブ」
がキリビリになります。
今回はこのキリビリにある埠頭で営業しているカフェ、Celsius Coffee & Dining に行ってきました。
Kirribilli is a calm, upscale residential area along Sydney Harbour, located on the opposite side of Circular Quay, where the Opera House is, and The Rocks, where the Sydney Harbour Bridge is, making it famous for its great views.
There is also the Kirribilli Market, held several times a month, giving the area a feeling of a refined suburb where locals live, rather than a touristy spot.
It is a very nice place with a good balance of sightseeing, scenery, and daily life.
“A quiet suburb close to the city with the best views”
That’s what Kirribilli is.
This time, we went to a café operating on a pier in Kirribilli, Celsius Coffee & Dining.
アクセス Access
キリビリには電車やフェリーで行くことができます。
電車であれば最寄りの駅はミルソンズポイント駅(Milsons Point Station)になります。
フェリーであればサーキュラーキーから乗ることが出来キリビリ埠頭(Kirribilli Wharf)で降りれば着きます。
You can get to Kirribilli by train and ferry.
If you take the train, the nearest station is Milsons Point Station.
If you take the ferry, you can board from Circular Quay and get off at Kirribilli Wharf to reach there.
歩いてみた Tried Walking
今回私はミルソンズポイント駅まで電車で行きキリビリ埠頭まで歩いてみました。
所要時間は15分程度で静かで雰囲気の良いキリビリを感じながら目的のカフェに行きました。
This time, I took the train to Milsons Point Station and walked to Kirribilli Wharf.
It took about 15 minutes, and while feeling the quiet and pleasant atmosphere of Kirribilli.

突き当たりかと思いきや
When I thought it was a dead end
(指で指していますが)よく見ると家と家の間にまだ路地があり

席に着いてみた。Take a seat.
このカフェに到着して席に通してもらいました。
I arrived at this café and was shown to my seats.
上の写真を見ていただければ分かりますが先客がちょっと写っています。
平日昼下がりに訪れたのでお店としてピークが終わって一息ついた時なのでお客様はこの方だけなのかと思いました。
As you can see in the photo above, an earlier customer is partially in the frame.
I visited on a weekday afternoon, so it was after this café peak hours and a moment of rest, which made me think that this person was the only customer at that time.
メニュー Menu
メニューを受け取りました。
私はいつもフラットホワイト(Flat White)を頼むのでそのつもりでメニューを見てみました。
I received the menu.
Since I always order a Flat White, I looked at the menu with that in mind.

よく見るとドリンクメニューには、Matcha (抹茶)があったり、フードメニューには、Miso Mushroom Toast (味噌マッシュルームトースト)、Prawn Katsu Sand(エビカツサンドイッチ)があったりと日本食を意識しているメニュー。
それでも私は、フラットホワイトをオーダーしました。
If you look closely, the drink menu has Matcha (抹茶), and the food menu includes Miso Mushroom Toast (味噌マッシュルームトースト) and Prawn Katsu Sand (エビカツサンドイッチ), showing a menu that is mindful of Japanese cuisine.
Even so, I ordered a flat white.

席を移動 Moved seat
コーヒーをちょっと飲んで窓の外に広がるシドニー湾を眺めていた時にお店の奥からお客様が出てきたことに気が付きました。
I noticed some customers coming out from inside of the café when I was having a bit of coffee and looking out the window at the expanse of Sydney Harbour.
よく見るとカフェの奥に更に席があるようで、席が空いていたら移りたいとスタッフに聞いてみました。
すると移動出来ると言われたので店内奥にある席に移動しました。
It seemed that there were more seats inside of this café, so I asked the staff if I could move there if a seat was available.
They said I could move, so I moved to a seat inside of this café.

お店の奥に通して貰いました。約20席ほどありましたが満席でした。
先程のお客様が出たのでこの席が空いたようです。
The staff led me to the inside of this café. There were about 20 seats, but they were all full.
It seems this seat became available because the previous customer just left.

改めて Once again
席も移り改めてコーヒーを頂きました。
このカフェのコーヒーはちょっと濃いめ。それでいてコーヒーの苦味は無いのでリッチな感じ。
平日の昼下がりに訪れたので気分転換には丁度良かったです。
I moved to inside seat and had some coffee again.
The coffee at this café is a bit strong. There is no bitterness in the coffee, so it feels rich.
I visited on a weekday afternoon, so it was just right for a change of pace.
フードをオーダー Order Food
コーヒーを飲み一息付き周りを見渡すとどのテーブルにもフードがありました。どのフードも盛り付けが大変綺麗でした。
気になって隣席を見てみるとローカルの中年女性2人組は、Celsius Tajima Burger(セシウスタジマバーガー)を食べていました。
見ていて大変美味しそうだったのでついついオーダーしてしまいました。
I took a sip of coffee and looked around; every table had food. Each dish was beautifully presented.
Curious, I glanced at the neighboring table and saw two local middle-aged women eating the Celsius Tajima Burger.
It looked so delicious that I couldn’t resist ordering it myself.
こちらが、Celsius Tajima Burger(セシウスタジマバーガー) $28.00です。
バンズはフカフカしていて肉の味もしっかりしている。ベーコンも丁度良い焼き加減でカリカリになっていない、美味しいベーコン。
写真では小ぶりに見えるこのタジマバーガーですが食べてみるとしっかりしたボリューム。
付け合せのポテトはカレー風味になっていてクセになる。
Here is the Celsius Tajima Burger for $28.00.
The buns are soft and fluffy, and the meat has a solid flavor. The bacon is cooked just right, not too much crispy, and is delicious.
Although this Tajima Burger looks small in the photo, it actually has a satisfying amount when you eat it.
The side fries are curry-flavored and addictive.
食べ終わって After eating
食べ終わって窓の外のシドニー湾をぼんやり見ていました。
店内にはBGMが流れておらずお客様同士の会話がBGM代わりになりかえって居心地の良さを感じました。
おかげで刻が過ぎるのを忘れるぐらいフェリーが右から左へ。左から右へと運行している様を見ていました。
After finishing my meal, I absentmindedly looked out at Sydney Harbour through the window.
There was no background music playing in this café, and the conversations between the customers served as a substitute for the BGM, which in turn made the atmosphere feel quite comfortable.
I realized that I had been watching ferries operate from right to left and from left to right for a considerable amount of time.

今回は、キリビリにある人気カフェ、Celsius Coffee & Diningに行ってきました。
小さい埠頭にある小さなカフェ。
コーヒーも食事も美味しく居心地も良いので繁盛店であることは頷けます。
アクセスも最寄りの駅(ミルソンズポイント駅)から徒歩15分程度なのでキリビリの雰囲気を感じながらカフェに行くも良し。サーキュラーキーからフェリーに乗って行くのも良し。カフェに行くまでの道中も楽しむことができるカフェ。それがこのカフェの人気のひとつになっているように思いました。
またひとつ素敵なカフェを見つけることができました。
This time, I went to a popular café in Kirribilli called Celsius Coffee & Dining.
A small café located on a small wharf.
Both the coffee and the food are delicious, and the atmosphere is comfortable, so it’s easy to see why it’s a thriving establishment.
It’s about a 15-minute walk from the nearest station (Milsons Point Station), so you can enjoy the atmosphere of Kirribilli on your way to the café. You can also get there by taking a ferry from Circular Quay.
It’s a café where you can enjoy the journey there, and that seems to be one of the reasons for its popularity.
I was able to discover another wonderful café.
