今回は人気カフェKurtoshに行ってきました。

This time, I went to the popular cafe Kurtosh.
何処にある? Where is it?
このカフェは、ニューサウスウェールズ州(NSW)に8店舗、ビクトリア州(VIC)に1店舗、そしてクイーンズランド州(QLD)に1店舗合計10店舗あります。その中から今回はダーリングスクエアにある店舗に行きました。
This cafe has a total of 10 locations: 8 in New South Wales (NSW), 1 in Victoria (VIC), and 1 in Queensland (QLD). This time, I went to the location in Darling Square.
ダーリングスクエアの特徴 Features of Darling Square
まず今回訪れたお店がある地域ダーリングスクエアの特徴ですが、ダーリングハーバーとチャイナタウンの間に位置しています。
一目で分かるダーリングスクエア図書館が目印になり、その周りには各国の飲食店がありますしパディスマーケットやナイトマーケットも行われているので、いつも賑やかな場所です。
First, regarding the area of Darling Square where the shop I visited this time is located, it is situated between Darling Harbour and Chinatown.
The Darling Square Library, which is easily recognizable at a glance, serves as a landmark, and around it, there are restaurants from various countries. It is always a lively place, as Paddy’s Market and night markets are also held there.
電車で行くのであればセントラル駅からでもタウンホール駅からでも、メトロで行くのであればガディガル駅から徒歩で行くことができますしライトレールを使うのであればチャイナタウン駅もしくはパディスマーケット駅で降りればすぐに行くことが出来ます。
シドニーで電車、メトロなどの公共交通機関を利用するのであればオパールカードが必要です。
If you go by train, you can get there from either Central Station or Town Hall Station. If you go by metro, you can walk from Gadigal Station, and if you use the light rail, you can get off at either Chinatown Station or Paddy’s Markets Station.
If you use public transportation such as trains or the metro in Sydney, you will need an Opal card.
このカフェの特徴 Features of this cafe.
このカフェの特徴として、入店すれば分かるのですがとにかくスイーツの種類がすごい!
いつも大変多くのスイーツがディスプレイに並べられています。
店舗によってはスイーツの作業風景を見ることも出来ます。なので店内はコーヒーとスイーツが調和した香りでいっぱいでスイーツ好きにはたまらないです。
One of the features of this café is the amazing variety of sweets that you’ll notice as soon as you enter!
There are always a large number of sweets displayed.
In some locations, you can even watch the sweets being made. As a result, the café is filled with the harmonious aroma of coffee and sweets, making it irresistible for dessert lovers.
たくさんのスイーツがディスプレイにありました。
コーヒーをオーダー Order a Coffee.
今回は私一人で伺ったのでコーヒーだけオーダーしました。
私はフラットホワイト(Flat White)が好きなので今回もフラットホワイトをオーダーしました。
This time, I went alone, so I only ordered coffee.
I like flat whites, so I ordered a flat white this time as well.
こちらが、このカフェ Kurtosh のフラットホワイトです。
さてそのコーヒーですが、一番に優しいコーヒーの香りを感じました。飲んでみるとクセが無く非常に飲みやすかったです。
このコーヒーであればお店で販売しているどのスイーツにも合うと思いました。お店側の狙いもそこにあるのだろうと思いましたがそれでもこれだけコーヒーの種類がある中でこのコーヒーにたどり着いたことはすごい努力だと思いました。
そして飲み終えた後に本当にホンの少しだけコーヒーの苦味を感じることができました。
This is the flat white from this café, Kurtosh.
As for the coffee, the first thing I noticed was its gentle aroma. When I tasted it, it was very easy to drink with no strong aftertaste.
I thought this coffee would go well with any of the sweets sold at this cafe. I believe that was probably the intention of the shop as well, but even so, reaching this coffee among so many options is truly an impressive effort.
And after finishing it, I could just barely detect a hint of coffee bitterness.
私は店内でコーヒーを頂きましたが、持ち帰りにしてダーリングスクエアの中庭でコーヒーを飲んで一息つくのもアリだと思います。

I had coffee inside the cafe, but I think it’s also a good option to take it to go and drink it in the Darling Square courtyard.

メニューも充実 The menu is also well-stocked
朝食メニューがあるのは嬉しいです。ですが今回私がお店に訪れたのが平日の午後だったのでオーダーすることはできません。
I’m happy that they have a breakfast menu. However, I visited the cafe on a weekday afternoon, so I could not order from it.

スイーツが充実していて、それに合わせてのコーヒーが楽しめれるカフェ「Kurtosh ダーリングスクエア店」に行ってきました。
このお店に訪れたのであればスイーツを一緒に楽しむことをおすすめします。
しかしながら我ながらスイーツをオーダーしなかったのは後悔しています。

If you visit this shop, I recommend enjoying the sweets together.
However, I regret not ordering any sweets myself.
